Why NZ Weddings Just Hit Different
If you’ve ever been lucky enough to witness a New Zealand wedding, especially one rich with Māori traditions, you’ll know exactly what I mean.

The more you tell me, the better I can quote. If you'd rather just say hi first, that's fine too.
Thank you. I'll be in touch within a day or two, usually sooner.
Wix Studio Legend Partner crafting unique branding solutions for small businesses across Australia
an·i·ma vis·u·al
/ n. /etym. from L. anima "breath, soul, life-force" + L. visualis "of sight, seen." c. 2016.
"The soul, made visible."
Custom websites on Wix Studio, designed around your business, not a template. Built to bring in calls, bookings, and "how the bloody hell did you find me?" enquiries from real humans on actual phones.
I do the lot: the design, the words, the build and the launch, then stick around to keep it running. One person from the first chat to go-live and beyond, so nothing gets lost in translation.
A website isn't set-and-forget. Menus change, prices change, Google moves the goalposts and something always needs a tweak. My care plans keep your site looked after once it's live, priced by how much looking-after it actually needs: a quiet monthly check-in, a steady hand on updates, or a proper partner keeping your content, SEO and design moving.
Rather run it yourself? Take the fourth bottle. I hand you the keys, show you the ropes, and you run it yourself, with no ongoing fee.

The small print: your site stays on the Anima Visual Wix account, with you added as co-owner and full control. I keep a key too, so if something breaks or you need a hand, I can jump in any time.
Promo films for venues and private dining, brand stories, event recaps, and the social reels and cut-downs that keep your feed alive. I've been making video for a decade, for everyone from national brands and local restaurants to small businesses, entrepreneurs and private clients, and I'll always suggest what will actually get used, not just what looks good in a pitch.
Quoted to suit: a single reel and a full brand film are very different beasts. The more you book, the better the rate.

If you run a restaurant, your Instagram grid is your menu. If you run a small business, people want to see the face behind it. Plates, faces, products, events, even the shop dog: a fresh catalogue of your own imagery every 3 to 6 months is the difference between "still trading" and still relevant.
Book a shoot on its own, or stack it with your website build and save on both. Either way, you get imagery that doesn't look like everyone else's stock library.
Here's a sample of my work: a few teasers and a few highlight films, from the Gold Coast to the Northern Rivers.

and now, the photographs ↓
Candid, unposed and a little bit cinematic: the getting-ready nerves, the vows, every guest and every dodgy dance move. There's no cap on images; a full day usually lands somewhere between 600 and 1,000 edited photos, with sneak peeks within a day or two.
Weddings aren't the studio's main game any more, but they're still on the menu. If your day matters to you, it matters to me.

Design that covers the whole surface of your business: the mark you stamp on a business card, the pamphlet on the counter, the signage above the door, the newsletter that lands in inboxes, the flyer for the season, the menu on the wall.
Marks drawn on paper, scanned in, tidied up, delivered as vector. Nothing else looks like a hand-drawn logo, because nothing else is one.
Primary mark, secondary mark, monogram. Colour palette, type pairings, tone of voice.
Cards, stationery, letterheads. Print-ready and source files, both.
The season's menu, the launch flyer, the pamphlet on the counter that actually gets picked up.
Email newsletters, downloadables, media kits, pricing guides, designed to reflect the brand, not fight it.
The thing above your door. A-frames, window vinyl, wayfinding. The first mark a customer sees, and often the deciding one. Designed with the printer in mind, so it lands right the first time.
Prices, timelines, travel, the fine print. Pick a card, any card. If your question isn't here, send me a message and I'll answer it myself.
Easy. send me a message or call 0435 114 556 and tell me what you're after. We'll have a free chat by phone or video, I'll ask a few nosy questions about your business, then send a clear quote and timeline. No pressure, no hard sell.
Nope. Consultations are always free. We can talk through your goals, dates, payment options and anything else you need before you spend a cent.
Me, Josh. Anima Visual is a one-person studio, so the person who quotes your job is the same person who designs, shoots, builds and answers your emails. No account managers, no hand-offs.
I'm on Tamborine Mountain in the Scenic Rim. For shoots and meetings in person I mainly cover the Gold Coast, the Scenic Rim and Brisbane down to Ballina. Further afield is absolutely fine, I just ask that travel is covered (fuel, flights, a bed for the night). Websites and design work happen remotely, so anywhere in Australia is fair game.
Of course. I love a destination wedding, and I already work with clients across Australia and New Zealand. Websites and design can be done entirely online; for shoots overseas, travel is simply added to your quote.
Yes, and I'd encourage it. Websites, design, photography and film are built to work together, so stacking them means a better-looking result and a better price. Website clients get 25% off additional design services, and photo packages come at a discounted rate when added to a build. Ask for a bundle quote.
Websites are priced outright: one-page sites from $999+GST, five pages from $1,999+GST, ten pages from $2,999+GST and fifteen-plus pages from $3,999+GST, with flexible payment terms. Extra pages start from $249+GST, and bigger builds and eCommerce are quoted to suit. Once it's live, you can add a care plan from $49+GST a week, or take the keys and run it yourself.
Yes. Every build comes with flexible payment terms, so you don't have to find the whole amount on day one. We'll agree on a plan that suits you when you book.
Most builds take 6 to 8 weeks, depending on size and how quickly content comes together. I'll give you a proper timeline with your quote.
Mobile-first design, SEO and GEO-friendly setup, fast cloud hosting, SSL, easy-to-use forms, image optimisation, stock images, Google Analytics and Tag Manager setup, Google Business listing setup or optimisation, professional copywriting, 24/7 support and unlimited tweaks for the first 30 days after launch. Plus a real human (me) as your project manager.
Yes. Professional copywriting is included, written to sound like you and to be found on Google. If you'd like a blog, I'll set it up; you just supply the posts (or ask me about writing them).
Custom Wix Studio sites, designed around your business rather than a template. I'm a Wix Studio Legend Partner, which is their top partner tier. It means your site is fast, secure and easy for you to update yourself if you want to.
You get unlimited updates for the first 30 days. After that, outright clients can add a care plan: The Watchful Eye ($49+GST/week), The Steady Hand ($89+GST/week) or The Whole Grimoire ($149+GST/week), depending on how much ongoing love your site needs. Or choose The Unbinding: you take the reins yourself, with full control and no ongoing fee. Whichever you pick, you're added as a co-owner of your site so you can manage anything, any time.
Always. Every site I build, you're added as a co-owner, so you can log in and manage anything, any time. Sites stay on the Anima Visual Wix account (even with The Unbinding), which means I keep a key too: if something breaks or you need a hand, I can jump straight in.
No. I'll register a new domain or transfer your existing one, and hosting is fast and cloud-based. Ongoing domain renewal is $100+GST every two years once the included period ends.
Yes. I can rebuild it properly, or take over an existing site and look after it from here. Tell me what's not working and I'll give you honest options.
Yes. eCommerce builds are priced on application because every shop is a bit different. Let me know how many products you have and how you'd like to take payments.
Everything your business touches: hand-drawn and digital logos, brand systems, business cards and stationery, menus, flyers and brochures, email newsletters and PDFs, and signage. One pair of hands, so it all looks like it belongs together.
Hand-drawn logos start from $199+GST. Digital logos and brand systems (primary mark, secondary mark, monogram, colour palette, type pairings and tone of voice) start from $299+GST. Print, signage and everything else is quoted on request.
Vector files for your logo, print-ready files for anything going to the printer, and source files so you're never locked in. Everything you need to use your brand anywhere.
Yes. As a website client of Anima Visual you get 25% off all additional design services, for as long as you're with me.
A hand-drawn mark starts life on paper with pen and ink, then gets cleaned up and vectorised, so it keeps that human wobble. A digital logo is built on screen from the start: cleaner, crisper, more geometric. Not sure which suits you? That's exactly what the first chat is for.
That's the whole idea. When the same person designs your logo, builds your site and shoots your photos, everything feels like it belongs together, because it does.
Food and drink, restaurants and hospitality, products, portraits and modelling, events and lifestyle, family, and pet portraits (paw-traits). If it can hold still for half a second, I'll shoot it. And if it can't, I'll still try.
I don't cap the number. As a guide, a two-hour restaurant shoot usually delivers around 150 to 250 edited images; smaller portrait and pet shoots anywhere from 30 to 100, depending on the subject, the light and the weather.
Absolutely. Photo packages are available on their own. They're also designed to sit alongside a website build, so if you stack them you'll get a discounted rate (website photography packages start from $400).
Every 3 to 6 months is the sweet spot. New menus, new seasons, new faces: fresh imagery keeps your socials and website feeling alive instead of 'still trading'.
Not by default. RAW files are unreadable without professional software, and you'll get every good image fully edited. If you really want them, all RAW photos and footage can be purchased for $600.
At your venue, on location or out in the Scenic Rim. Travel within the Gold Coast, Scenic Rim and Brisbane to Ballina is included; anywhere else, just cover the travel.
Social clips and reels, promo films for venues and private dining, brand stories, events, and of course weddings. Every business needs something different, so I'll suggest what will actually get used.
Commercial video is quoted to suit, because a single reel and a full brand film are very different beasts. The more you book, the better the rate, and ongoing work can be packaged up.
Not currently. If you'd like aerial footage, you can book a drone operator separately and I'll work their footage into your film at no extra charge.
Yes. Each service gets its own dedicated shooter, so photo and film together means two of us on the day. It's priced as a combo.
For 2026 to 2027: Half Day (5 hours, photo or film) $2,950 · All Day (8 hours, photo or film) $3,350 · Half Day Combo (5 hours photo and film) $4,700 · All Day Combo (8 hours photo and film) $5,600. Film packages include a highlight film and a one-minute teaser. See the full wedding package guide (PDF).
I do. My 'Short & Sweet' elopement packages give you two hours of coverage: photo or film from $1,200, or photo and film from $2,000, each with a gallery and a 1 to 2 minute highlight film. Extra hours can be added. See the elopement package guide (PDF).
A signed contract and a non-refundable 25% deposit secure your date. The balance is due 14 days before the wedding, and you can pay it off in chunks or all at once. Life happens, so if you need more time, just talk to me.
The 25% deposit is non-refundable, as I'll likely have turned down another couple for your date. If you need to reschedule, I'll happily move your deposit to the new date, subject to availability. Any extra payments beyond the deposit are refunded if you cancel.
A handful of sneak peeks (around 30 to 50 photos) within a day or two, and a 60-second teaser within the first week. In peak season, allow 4 to 6 weeks for your full gallery and 6 to 8 weeks for your highlight film.
There's no limit. A full-day wedding usually lands somewhere between 600 and 1,000 edited images, and a highlight film runs 6 to 8 minutes for an all-day package.
Coverage is consecutive, so if I start at 1pm on an eight-hour package, I finish at 9pm, and travel between locations comes out of that time. Extra hours can be added at $150 per hour.
Yes, if both prep locations are close together. If they're more than 15 minutes apart, a second shooter might be worth it so your coverage isn't eaten up by driving. Happy to help you plan the timeline.

I run Anima Visual from Tamborine Mountain. One person, ten-plus years in the creative space (since January 2016), seven of those spent behind a camera at weddings.
I craft websites and brands out of thin air (sometimes literally by hand), photograph the kind of small businesses that built the Scenic Rim, and film the stories the world doesn't get to see otherwise.
Anima means soul in Latin. It's where the studio's name comes from and how I work. Your business has a soul already; my job is to craft it into something real, to shape it, photograph it and write it, then put it somewhere the world can see it.
No outsourcing. No mystery middlemen. If your phone rings, it's me.

One email and we'll talk about whether I'm the right person for it. If I'm not, I'll tell you who is.
I only take on a few builds at a time, so the sooner we talk, the sooner you're in the calendar.
